Christmas Gift Guide for a
10-Year-Old Boy

I've put together a Christmas gift guide based on things my own 10-year-old genuinely loves, things we've already bought and know get used, and a few things we're looking at this year.

I've tried to include a mixture of fun presents, stocking fillers, practical gifts and things that encourage them to get outside, be creative or do something away from a screen.

Hopefully you'll find a few ideas here rather than spending money on something that's forgotten about by Boxing Day!

Gifts for 10 year old boys he’ll actually use and love

If you have a football-loving, Lego-building, Spiderman or Pokemon-obsessed 10-year-old, these are some things that have gone down well in our house....

⚽ Wingrove Power Ball
The Wingrove Power Ball is perfect for football fans and a great option if you’re hunting for sporty gifts for 10 year old boys. It’s a fun way to get them outside and kicking a ball around rather than disappearing into a screen all day. My son plays lots of football and he and his cousin both enjoy the weight of this ball and being able to kick it hard into the goal – it’s like a heavier flyaway ball. My son got this for Christmas last year but unfortunately popped it in a bramble bush recently, so it has been repurchased for this Christmas!

🕷️ Spiderman toothbrush

Yes, a toothbrush can absolutely be a Christmas present when you're 10. 😂 This Spiderman one is a fun way of sneaking something practical but make it fun! Anything to get them to brush their teeth!

🎮 Stay Active Level Out Balance Board
A fun electronic balance game that's a little different from the usual board game or toy. My son is the ultimate fidget bum and this is something ive picked up for him this year.

🛁 Bath Goo

With his current obsession with Needohs and slimy fidgety things I thought this would be a fun stocking filler for my son who loves a bath after football training. Gross Bath Goo has got to be a winner!

📚 Diary of a Wimpy Kid
You can't really go wrong with a good Wimpy Kid book. We have the collect that has been passed down from his older siblings who have all loved reading this set. Whether you're looking for the new release or starting from the beginning I have you covered!

💧 Ion8 water bottle

These are genuinely one of our most-used purchases. The kids have had Ion8 bottles for a while and they've lasted really well. They're leakproof which is a huge plus, have survived multiple bottle flips (whyyy!) and even though they own Airups and other bottles these are the ones they always reach for. I will be ordering some new colours this year so they have 2 each to alternate

🧱 Lego
You really can't go wrong with Lego, here are a  couple of Lego ideas that are currently on our list:

⚽ Football light
A fun little gift for football fans and something different from another football. Like I may have already mentioned half a dozen times my son is football mad. He got this for a gift last year and he loves it, its a very good light and has some Jellycat vibes to it which can't hurt.

🎯 Football flick game
A compact game that's easy to get out and play. My son got this for Christmas last year, we all got involved playing with it, took it to

a family gathering which everyone loved to play and my son suggested we bought it for his best friends birthday.

🧊 Needoh
These are the must have toy this year (in my 10 year olds eye anyway) and annoyingly hard to track down. Ive seen a few available at Waterstones but if not then in store at Smyths is probably your best bet...good luck!
Great for a stocking filler or a small present.

⚽ Kick About interactive football game
Another football-related idea for kids who are constantly kicking a ball around the garden.... Yes my son is forever being told not to kick the football around the living room. He got this for Christmas last year and keeps it in his room, it's a decent size to store and get out to play and has used it alot this year.

🔊 Amazon Echo
A useful addition for a bedroom and something they can actually use beyond Christmas morning. My son got this for his birthday last year (December baby, what bad planning on my part!) He wanted something that he can play music on in his room, it has child settings on, a nice screen to show the time and the weather. You can ask it to read a bedtime story too!

💤 M&S fleece pyjamas
Because you can never have too many cosy pyjamas at Christmas. I'm not sure if it's just my kids but they loveee some cosy pjs! M&S always do the best cosy pyjamas at a good price that wash well too.

⚡ Pokemon Squish-a-longs
A nice little Pokemon stocking filler. Again along the squishy line, we picked up some of these for my nephews birthday, be warned they are very small but cute for a Pokemon/squishy fan!

🔬 CrunchLabs

This is one for the kids who love building, experimenting and figuring out how things work.CrunchLabs. Im not sure how much this will get used so I'll be looking out for it in the Black Friday sales. However, my son really enjoys his program on Netflix and out of all the horrible Youtube type programmes I actually don't mind him watching this one, I find it interesting myself!
